Steelsmith works to become a trusted subcontractor for many general contractors in the local Pittsburgh region. Thanks to those great working relationships, we had the opportunity in April 2019 to design, engineer, manufacture and erect this 5000 square foot steel building. By selecting antique red wall panels, trimmed in charcoal gray, this is one of the commercial garages in Pittsburgh suburbia to sure be noticed.

Erected in just seven days, this steel building addition was a cost-effective and easy way to create added space for the customers expanding business. There was just one small ask: If at all possible please construct in a manner that allows them to keep a wooden property line fence 24" from the concrete line in tact, rather than tearing it down. Sure enough, our talented crews fulfilled that ask, paneling and trimming out the back side wall from inside the building. Other construction intricacies included a roof to wall transition to the existing masonry building and careful lift operation to ensure the hot lines above stayed untouched.
